Yellow Padlock

Many of you are aware of the 'little yellow padlock' that appears at the bottom of your browser. In order to find this, please ensure that you have the status bar activated. To do this, go to View menu and make sure the status bar option is active. (a tick in Firefox, and not hidden in Safari / IE )

This will usually only appear when you are about to make a payment.

Security Software

If you are using an Internet security software, it can also confirm that the website is secure.

HTTPS

If you also see the address bar (when making a payment) you will see that the prefix changes to "https" - the S stands for SECURE. This is the industries accepted way to show that a website is in fact secure.
